The Mafra National Palace is located in the municipality of Mafra, Lisbon district, Portugal.
About 25 kilometers from Lisbon, is in a palace and monastery monumental baroque style. It was started in 1717 at the initiative of John V of Portugal, because of a promise that the young Paul Lawrence had done to Queen Mary Anne of Austria gave her offspring. Classified as a National Monument in 1910, was a finalist for one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal July 7, 2007.
